John Hyland to Speak on The Employment Relationship: Knowing What, How, and When to Document
From start to finish, the employment relationship can generate a substantial number of documents. Whether complying with a law that requires specific documentation, recording certain information a business needs to effectively operate, or adhering to best practices that can prevent problems and reduce risks, documenting the employment relationship has grown increasingly challenging in a world of increased legislation and litigation. Getting it wrong can prove costly. John Hyland will present an overview of the required and recommended employment documents for all stages of the employment relationship, and practical tips for effective record creation and management. The program, presented by the Sonoma County Employer Advisory Council in partnership with the Employment Development Department, will take place on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at the Wedgewood Banquet Center at the Foxtail Golf Club, 100 Golf Course Drive, Rohnert Park, CA 94928, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m.
